The generation of real-time bio-manufacturing data is highly challenging. Only certain process analytical testing (PAT) characteristics are collected (such as pH or temperature) through at -line technologies. These systems are used a proxy to determine the most important data point in manufacturing, the product. Otherwise an off-line detection system is required to directly quantify product, which currently takes between 24 to 48 hour, both slowing the process and increasing the amount of required human labour/intervention.
Causeway sensors have developed a dedicated SPR based sensor platform designed to allow accurate, affordable, rapid, and robust IgG quantification from a variety of sample matrices with minimal sample prep. In this poster we present results (real time binding curves, standard curves, known unknowns). Injection times of 60 seconds can be used with our current IgG assay format and still maintain a very high level of accuracy, emphasising the rapid nature of the technology.
The Causeway instrument utilises an surface plasmon resonance (SPR) signal with an extended linear response allowing for a wide dynamic range in measurement, granting the assay ideal performance limits for this application. The unique chips use a proprietary poly-electric layering (PEL) surface technology, demonstrating high stability and resistance to regeneration conditions, minimal non-specific interaction and is fully compatible with industry standard coupling chemistries.
