Dr Robert Heald

I am a synthetic and medicinal chemist who has worked in the pharma/biotech industry for around 20 years. After studying at the University of Nottingham for a degree in chemistry and PhD with Prof. Malcolm Stevens I moved to the University of Arizona for a post-doctoral position with Prof. Laurence Hurley. In 2002 I joined Argenta Discovery, now Charles River where I spent ~13 years working on many collaborative drug discovery projects across therapeutic areas and target classes finishing as Director of Chemistry. In 2016 I joined Artios Pharma as Head of Chemistry where I have been part of the team building a portfolio of small molecule DNA damage response therapeutics.
