Profile of Mr Vittorio Barbè
With a solid foundation in animal biology and in vivo research acquired from esteemed Università degli Studi di Padova and in the Polytechnic University of Valencia , I transitioned to the UK, where I have excelled in my role at the Swanton Lab, Francis Crick Institute. Currently, as a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist, I specialize in the development and optimization of patient-derived organoids within the Cancer Evolution and Genome Instability Laboratory, concurrently leading the Human Biology Facility – Organoid Service.
Demonstrating proficiency in establishing and scaling up new human in-vitro culturing methodologies, I contribute to the advancement of 3D cell cultures for application in cancer research. My experience extends to laboratory work and the handling of human tissue samples, providing expert guidance to scientists. Recognized for independent work, strong interpersonal skills, and collaborative practices, I excel in roles requiring organizational and communication expertise.
