Dr Anna Morgan

After completing my PhD in pharmacology at the Sackler Institute for Pulmonary Pharmacology at King's College London in 2011, I was awarded the C. W. Maplethorpe Fellowship through the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science in 2012. My research on respiratory inflammation shed light on the role of nanomaterials in pulmonary drug delivery and helped to develop in-vivo models for fibrosis.
An interest in teaching led to my current role as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Kingston University London, joining the pharmacology teaching team in 2015, and becoming Course Leader for BSc Pharmacology in 2021. My research pursuits now focus on STEM education and embedding enterprise skills for undergraduate students. I also maintain a passion for teaching pharmacology students the importance of developing ethical research models, and to this end I have designed bespoke workshops on the use of in-vivo models for experimental inflammation.
